James A. Rose

Jim Rose is the Director of Product Management for Mija Inc., the manufacturer of en-Gauge, the UL Listed Fire Extinguisher Gauge that electronically monitors fire extinguishers.

Jim has been working in the fire protection industry since 1990 and previously worked for Xtralis (formally known as Vision Systems and IEI North America) from 1990 to 2004. He was the Operations and Engineering Support Manager for the VESDA (smoke detection) and the ADPRO (cctv remote security) product lines. Jim is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.

In addition to Jim's technical and engineering skills he is experienced in providing quality service and support for manufacturers, distributors, specifying engineers.

 

 
James L. Kidd

Jim Kidd is the Vice President of Hiller New England Fire Protection Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and was one of the very first in the country to achieve a National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level lV, Senior Engineering Technician (SET), in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Special Hazards Systems Layout. He has worked in the Special Hazards, HPR, and Fire Protection business for 43 years. His first four years were spent as a systems designer and field technical representative for the FYR-FYTER CO. (Norris Industries). The following 29 years he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Systems Engineer for a Massachusetts-based fire systems reseller. He was an 18-year member of the NFPA 12 Technical Committee on Carbon Dioxide Systems, and was appointed to the NFPA 2001 Committee on Clean Agents in 10/05. Jim, along with Mark Herzog of the Hiller Virginia office will be representing the nationwide Hiller Companies at committee meetings. This committee combines the NFPA 12 (CO-2), 12A (Halon) and 2001 (clean agents) into one committee. The standards will remain with the same numbers. The NFPA 12, 12a and 2001 committees have been disbanded. Jim, along with Mark Herzog of the Hiller Virginia office will be representing the nationwide Hiller Companies at committee meetings. This newly formed committee combines the NFPA 12 (CO-2), 12A (Halon) and 2001 (clean agents) into one committee. The standards will remain with the same numbers. The NFPA 12, 12a and 2001 committees have been disbanded.

Jim Kidd is also a founding director and Technical Committee member of the Fire Suppression Systems Association (FSSA), and a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED) and the New England Chapter of Fire Protection Systems Designers Association.

 

 
Adrian Lloyd
General Manager,
MICROPACK Detection
(Americas) Inc.

Adrian Lloyd is General Manager with Micropack Detection (Americas) Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Micropack Engineering Ltd. Adrian has over 30 years experience in fire detection industry. He started out designing fire and gas detection systems for the North Sea Oil and Gas Industry. He was then transferred to Houston, Texas in 1979 to work on Gulf of Mexico oil installations and the emerging offshore oil production projects in Mexico and Brazil. From 1983 to 1996 Adrian was the Gulf Coast regional manager for Detector Electronics Corporation, one of the major manufacturers of industrial flame detectors. He then went to work for a Norwegian company who supplies fire detection to many of the worlds major cruise ships.

Adrian moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 2000, with his wife and 2 teenage daughters, and for 4 years was National Sales Manager for Vision Systems, the Australian manufacturer of VESDA air sampling smoke detection technology.

Joining Micropack, who are based in Aberdeen Scotland, brings Adrian full circle, back to where he started, working with flame detection technology for the oil and gas production industries.
