“Fire alarm wiring requirements can be a challenge for the best designer or installer. This webinar will focus on the wiring methods, materials, and code requirements for fire alarm systems. Upon completion of this webinar, attendees will be able to locate and apply key requirements in Article 760 of the National Electrical Code.”

Our presenter will be Merton Bunker, P.E., CFEI, Merton Bunker & Associates. Merton is a member of the NEC Technical Correlating Committee and is the Chair of NFPA 72, Chapter 23 – Protected Premises.

September is Campus Fire Safety Month and colleges and universities across the country are conducting events to raise students’ awareness of campus fire- and life-safety issues.  Our joint program with Domino’s and NFPA in 2009 was a huge success.  We reached thousands of students delivering fire safety messages – along with a great assortment of Dominos pizza.

Sales Position at Advanced Safety Systems, Inc

Advanced Safety Systems, Inc, an established Massachusetts, North Shore based fire protection company, seeks a qualified sales professional to join our team.  The successful candidate will have strong prospecting skills, experience in closing solution-based sales, excellent communication and inter-personal skills.  The focus of this position is to develop new business in the New England area for commercial fire suppression products and solutions.  Prospective customers and clients are end users as well as contractors and engineers in the commercial, industrial, health care, telecommunications, cultural, manufacturing etc. market segments. 

ASSI is a full service systems provider including in house engineering and design, system installation, testing and commissioning as well as service and maintenance. 

The ideal candidate for this professional sales position has:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in outside sales in the commercial and/or construction market, preferably in the area of fire protection.  
  • Strong leadership skills as well as the ability to speak comfortably in public.
  • Excellent organization, communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Requires flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks while adjusting priorities as needed. 
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • The ability to interact effectively with owners, contractors, project managers, engineers and architects to build long-term relationships.
  • Business to business and cold calling experience.
  • College degree preferred.
