“The Demise of the Dialer” … Today’s communication technology is changing rapidly. With proposed changes to telephone service, DACTS will soon no longer be able to be used for transmitting fire alarm signals. Find out what is going on, and what will be the future of fire alarm signal transmitting. Understand the new requirements for transmissions methods in the 2010 NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. Our presenter will be Art Black, Carmel Fire Protection Associates. Art is a member of the Supervising Stations Technical Committee and is the Immediate Past Chair of that committee.
October 28, 2010, 11:00 am EST – 12:30 pm EST
“Lessons Learned – Liability Issues for Contractors” … “Preventing and Defending Claims Against Fire Alarm Contractors” will help you avoid lawsuits with early dispute assessments, better contracts, invoices, reports, and other forms. You will also learn what to do if you get notice of a claim, including ways to help enforce your contracts, why document management is essential, and important facts about arbitration. Derek Lisk and Valerie Folsom, attorneys with Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, will present this webinar, which was prepared for the Automatic Fire Alarm Association.
