Fire-Professionals.com Member Wins UL Listing
Keltron Corporation, a leading provider of life safety event management systems is pleased to announce that the company’s newest alarm monitoring system, the Keltron LS Net Ethernet Signaling System is now UL 864 ninth edition listed. The system enables dispatchers and administrators at campuses, multi-building facilities and municipalities to monitor alarms using their existing Ethernet communications infrastructure.
The Keltron LS Net system leverages the intrinsic properties of the low-overhead Ethernet solution, unlike many serial-to-Ethernet systems that burden networks and consume bandwidth. This unique system uses both input-monitoring circuitry and secure, supervised Ethernet communication to transmit addressable information from thousands of alarms to an on site central receiving station.
Universally compatible with over 60 different models of alarm panels, the Keltron Ethernet system leverages standard network infrastructure using XML-based message formats.
The UL listing includes the Keltron LS 7000 life safety event management system and Keltron LS Net Ethernet transceivers that feature serial input and contact input four and eight-zone versions, all with either 24 or 60 hour batteries. The Keltron LS 7000 software operates on a high performance, UL 864-recognized computer and offers a wide range of functionality, specifically designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 72 for remote, central station and proprietary supervising station systems.
