Explosion Protection for Your Facility.

Could an Explosion Strike Your Facility?Just about every facility that handles, stores or processes flammable gases, liquids and solids has an explosion risk. As a rule, if a material can burn, under the right conditions, it can and will explode. Explosive environments include Conveying, Processing, Pulverizing and Storing of Explosive Materials.
Fenwal Explosion Vent

This is a relief device designed to rupture at a predetermined pressure to allow the fireball and explosive pressure to vent into a safe area. Economical to install, these highly efficient vents fit into the walls of a process volume. They are available in a variety of sizes, configurations and materials to ensure fast, reliable operation.
Detect and Suppress Explosions in Milliseconds

In a matter of milliseconds, a Fenwal Explosion Suppression System is designed to detect the buildup of pressure in an explosion and discharge an explosion suppressant into the enclosed space before destructive pressures are created. The suppressant also creates a barrier between the combustible particles to prevent the transfer of heat.
Contain Explosions: Chemically or Mechanically

Fenwal Isolation Systems are designed to detect incipient explosions and react instantly to keep the deflagration from spreading to unprotected areas or interconnected equipment. Both The Mechanican and Chemical Systems are used to help prevent explosions from propagating to unprotected areas.
Our engineers access a vast body of information

Fenwal ProTECH Database is the world's largest body of information on combustible materials, explosion suppression parameters and concepts enables FENWAL Design Engineers to use computer modeling and simulation to develop effective, efficient systems for every application.

Since 1950, FENWAL has over installed over 8,000 explosion protection systems worldwide, that detect and suppress over 200 explosions per year. FENWAL Protection Systems is the world's leading authority on explosion protection and part of the UTC Fire & Security family, the foremost international provider of quality systems and services. That's why we're able to go far beyond our customers' expectations when it comes to protecting their facilities against explosions. Some of the unique benefits you get from forming a protection partnership with FENWAL Production Systems include our 80,000 Sq. ft. Combustion Research Center, Single Source Responsibility, Worldwide Service and more. The people of FENWAL representatives, field engineers, design and applications engineering professionals, customer service providers, service technicians and trainers have a unique combination of skill, dedication and professional pride.
